The Los Angeles Unified School District’s Office of the General Counsel, Ethics and Compliance Monitoring (ECM) Legal Services Team, has published the June 2025 edition of the “Report on Improving Student Outcomes and Ensuring Rights.” This Report highlights the District’s continued efforts during the 2023–2024 school year focused on equity, program accessibility, and provision of a free appropriate public education. It serves as an update to the “Report on Improving Student Outcomes and Ensuring Rights” published in May 2024.

July 26, 2024 marks the 34th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a landmark legislation that continues to ensure equal opportunities and rights for individuals with disabilities. The District is committed to ensuring that programs and services are operated in a manner that promotes equity, program accessibility, and a free appropriate public education. It consists of a review of the status of the Los Angeles Unified School District’s efforts during the 2022-2023 school year.
